CAUSE . . . . . Spreads can not be performed on the domestic amounts of a foreign transaction. This is because gain/loss records may need to be created to force the converted amounts to add to zero, as is required for spreads. Since gain/loss records can only be created for domestic amounts, spreads involving foreign documents must be entered in foreign mode.

RESOLUTION. . . Change the mode to ‘F’ and reenter the transaction with foreign amounts.
