CAUSE . . . . You are attempting to post a journal entry to an Asset Cost Account or Accumulated Depreciation Account for an asset that has been retired. This is not allowed in the AA ledger.

RESOLUTION. . This transaction can not be posted to Fixed Assets. Reverse the entry and post to G/L. Then update Fixed Asset post code to a ‘P’ on both the original and reversal entries.
